The CAF Wings Over Houston Airshow, one of the region’s largest annual events, is set to return to Ellington Airport in October.

Now in its fourth decade, the show draws families and aviation enthusiasts from around the world with high-energy aerial performances, historic aircraft, and community-focused programming.

According to a press release, this year’s lineup includes rare flyovers, interactive exhibits, and new opportunities to support veterans and inspire future pilots.

The airshow returns Oct. 18–19 at Ellington Airport

According to the press release, the CAF Wings Over Houston Airshow will take place October 18–19.

Gates will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, welcoming families and aviation fans for a weekend of flying demonstrations, exhibits, and community events.

Big-name performers and historic aircraft are featured

Organizers say this year’s show will include the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the two only airworthy B-29 bombers flying together, the RE/MAX Skydiving Team, Tora! Tora! Tora!, and a U.S. Coast Guard search and rescue demonstration. Static displays will showcase planes such as the C-17 Globemaster, a United Airlines 737, and the C-5M Super Galaxy, with more to be announced.

Scholarships and community impact are part of the mission

According to the press release, WOHA awarded $24,000 in scholarships earlier this summer to 10 Texas and Oklahoma students pursuing aviation careers. The show will also include special attractions such as the Legends & Heroes tent and the Veterans Business Marketplace presented by Walmart, reflecting its community-focused mission.
