Finding quality family time can be tough with busy schedules, but Sugar Land makes it easy.

With most attractions, shops and dining options just a quick 10-minute drive apart, you’ll spend less time in the car and more time enjoying each other’s company.

Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land

Start your adventure at the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land and explore the wonders of outer space at the Space Science exhibit, dig for fossils at the Dig Pit, or uncover Earth’s secrets throughout the museum. Be sure to check the website and event calendar for upcoming events like their regular Block Party which features hands-on STEAM exhibits for all ages.

Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center

For hands-on fun, head to the Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center in historic Sugar Land. With five immersive exhibits, including Amazingly Immature and Kidtropolis, USA, kids can role-play in a vibrant city setting complete with a market and diner, creating an engaging family experience. Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased online but be sure to also check into the membership, which includes unlimited admission for the year plus discounts on party packages and more.

Sugar Land Ice and Sports Center

For indoor excitement, visit the Sugar Land Ice and Sports Center, where you can lace up your skates for year-round fun. Public Skating is available for either two-or-three-hour sessions. Whether you’re a seasoned skater or trying it for the first time, public sessions and lessons are available to help you and the kids glide gracefully.

Constellation Field

During baseball season, from April to September, Constellation Field is a must for families. Cheer on the Sugar Land Space Cowboys in a family-friendly atmosphere. After the game, enjoy the space-themed playground and splash pad, or test your batting skills at Moonshot Alley’s simulated baseball experience. In the fall, don’t miss Centerfield Cinema, which screens family-friend movies on a Texas sized big screen under the stars.

Local Parks

If you’re up for some outdoor fun, Sugar Land offers over 27 parks perfect for pick-up games of soccer, softball and more. Notable kid-friendly parks include Slockett Park with its scenic walking trails and playgrounds, and the newly updated Mayfield Park featuring two playgrounds with a fun, whimsical theme that the little ones will love. Sugar Land Memorial Park is a great option to spend the day outdoors hiking, biking or fishing.
